Team

Bailit Health staff is comprised of a close-working team of senior consultants. Multiple team members are involved on most projects. The team is complemented, on an as-needed basis, by a cadre of specialty subject matter experts with whom we have worked for years.

Erin Taylor, M.P.H. (she, her)
Senior Consultant

Erin Taylor has more than a decade of experience supporting states to advance policies to improve the health care system for covered populations. At Bailit Health, Erin is assisting states to slow the trajectory of health care spending growth, develop and implement payment and delivery system reforms, and promote equity within Medicaid managed care strategies. She provides strategic and technical guidance to states to implement programs, performs health care policy research and analysis, and supports multi-stakeholder engagement.

Erin is currently supporting the development and implementation of health care cost growth target programs in California and New Jersey, and previously assisted Rhode Island with a stakeholder engagement process that led to recommendations for the state’s cost growth target framework. In addition, Erin performs research and analysis for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's State Health and Value Strategies (SHVS) program. Erin has developed and facilitated webinars and discussions among states on topics of interest in their Medicaid managed care programs and authored several briefs for SHVS, including on strategies to promote health equity in birth-related outcomes and mental healthcare. Erin’s past work includes advising states and Medicaid health plans on value-based payment strategies and developing guidance for states to assess readiness of providers to enter into risk-based contracts.

Prior to joining Bailit Health, Erin worked on health care payment and delivery system reform initiatives at the Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services. While at the Office of Medicaid, Erin gained experience in the development of managed care programs for individuals with dual Medicare and Medicaid eligibility. She assessed early program experience to recommend adjustments, and prepared presentations, reports, and program updates for internal and external stakeholders.

Previously, Erin completed a fellowship at Health Leads where she gained experience with performing health-related social needs screening in primary care.

Erin earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida and a Master of Public Health degree with a concentration in Health Law, Bioethics, and Human Rights from Boston University.
