Bailit Health staff is comprised of a close–working team of senior consultants. Multiple team members are involved on most projects. The team is complemented, on an as-needed basis, by a cadre of specialty subject matter experts with whom we have worked for years.
Chris actively supports state health care affordability initiatives. Through the Peterson-Milbank Program for Sustainable Health Care Costs, Chris has provided technical assistance to several states, particularly in cost growth benchmark analytics and the analysis of hospital financial performance. He provides strategic support to a cross-state work group dedicated to standardizing definitions and methodologies used in cost growth target programs. Additionally, Chris has examined the relationship between prices and utilization in multiple states using data from All-Payer Claims Databases.
Chris participated in the development of a public tool to assist states in assessing hospital financial performance. He has also provided analytical and evaluation support to a state´s Medicaid Managed Care program, with a focus on the adoption of Alternative Payment Models.
Before joining Bailit Health, Chris pursued his graduate studies at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. While at Harvard, he served as a Research Assistant for both the Harvard Education and Research Center for Occupational Safety and Health, and the Exposure, Epidemiology, and Risk Program. In these roles, he performed analyses on the impact of environmental toxins, such as radon and smoking, on pulmonary diseases. Chris also worked as a Research Assistant at Massachusetts General Hospital´s Sleep Disorders Clinical Research Program, where he managed data and conducted analyses for longitudinal studies and randomized controlled trials.
For several years, Chris served as Operations Director at Y2Y Harvard Square, a youth homeless shelter, where he managed communications between the shelter´s staff and partner organizations, performed analyses to assess the effects of internal policies on service access, and provided support during the transition to COVID-era operations.
Chris earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard College and a Master of Science from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
