Bailit Health staff is comprised of a close–working team of senior consultants. Multiple team members are involved on most projects. The team is complemented, on an as-needed basis, by a cadre of specialty subject matter experts with whom we have worked for years.
Áron Boros joined Bailit Health in January 2017 after spending eight years in Massachusetts state government. Áron specializes in health care system transformation, including the use of data and analytics to drive policy. He has extensive experience working collaboratively between government agencies, payers, providers, and other organizations towards the common goal of improving efficiency in the health care system while enhancing patient experience and outcomes.
At Bailit Health, Áron works with clients towards a variety of delivery system and payment reform goals, including payment system development, engaging primary care practices in transformation and strategy for using data to improve care and efficiency.
Immediately prior to joining Bailit, Áron served as the first Executive Director of Massachusetts' Center for Health Information and Analysis. Áron established CHIA as one of the country's most successful public resources for health data statistics and reporting focused on cost containment, quality measurement, and system transformation. In the role he worked closely with other Massachusetts state agencies, as well as with other states, with a special focus on data sets including All–Payer Claims Data and Hospital Discharge Data.
Áron chaired the state's Quality Advisory Committee, and ad hoc committees considering provider price variation, behavioral health data policies, and long–term stays in emergency departments. He also served on the board of the Betsy Lehman Center for Patient Safety and Medical Error Reduction.
Prior to joining CHIA, Áron served in other Massachusetts state agency roles including several years at the Office of Medicaid, where he was the federal finance lead on the MassHealth 1115 waiver and developed the state's first Delivery System Transformation Initiative.
Áron is a graduate of Amherst College, and holds law and public policy degrees from the University of Michigan.
